The Alva Fire Control & Rescue Service District is looking for several Volunteer Firefighters and is currently taking applications. Minimum position prerequisites are: High School Diploma or equivalent, Florida State Certified Firefighter 1 or 2, Florida State Certified EMT or proof of current enrollment in EMT program, and valid Florida Driver’s License. Please see the application for any other requirements.  Applicants are subject to background checks and drug testing.

Interested individuals will be required to fill out an application and turn in a resume.  Copies of certificates for the required certifications are also required.  You can email the resume, application, and certificates to James Barritt at jbarritt@alvafirecontrol.org or deliver it to our Administrative Office at 2660 Styles Road, Alva, Fl, 33920.
